The CEO of Microsoft Russia said the company can answer questions raised after the anti-monopoly commission in the country initiated an investigation into the way Windows XP was sold.
In an interview with Reuters, Nikolai Pryanishnikov said that Microsoft has received documents with questions from the antitrust body FAS which he thinks he can answer.
The probe started because certain laptop manufacturers including Acer, Asustek, Dell and Samsung were pre-installing Windows XP and couldn’t buy notebooks from these firms without it being installed.
The CEO said that Microsoft Russia will cooperate with the investigation and work to fix any problems that might have occurred. You can find the Reuters story, here.
